Awesomely Distinguished: A 40 Week Journey of Blessing for Mother and Child

 The book, Awesomely Distinguished, was written after experiencing motherhood for myself going on more than 21 years.  Although my journey is far from over, the experiences that I have garnered after living life with a fun-loving, intelligent , sporty, empathetic young man God gave me as an answer to prayer, have been incredible to say the least.  My son, Isaac David, has been one of God's greatest gifts and teachers I have ever been graced with.  The journey that we have carved out in this world has been full of highs, lows, twists and turns.  Moreover, each moment has provided opportunities for us to learn from each other, about ourselves and God.  Although Isaac was an answer to prayer, I never could have imagined just how much the life of this little boy would impact and shape my own. 

Awesomely Distinguished is the result of my learning just how special and unique each and every one of us is in His eyes.  It has also taught me how important it is to respect that unique journey that we each have to walk alone and try my best to be a supportive role in my son's journey.   Awesomely Distinguished was created to be a tool parents can use to be that supportive role for their child.  We may not know where life will take our children, but we can pray fervently and continually for them, as they walk their journey.  The needs that your child will have at birth will be quite different to the ones they will have their first day of kindergarten, their first day of high school, the first day of their new job after college, their wedding day and even on the day of the birth of their own child. 

Awesomely Distinguished is meant to be a way for parents to begin identifying important areas in your child's development, that can be prayed over and nurtured from even before they make their entrance into the world.  Our words have power.  Our Heavenly Father demonstrated this truth at the onset of Creation.  Moreover, we have the immeasurable gift of being created in His image.  It is our responsibility to use our words to be the guardians of our children's lives and prepare the way for them.
